Janelle & Cory
When Janelle, Cory and I met to talk about wedding details, they hardly got the word “waterfall” out of their mouth before I had already agreed that it was the best idea ever. Fast forward a few months and the time had finally arrived to wake up before light to drive through the misty mountains toward Looking Glass Falls. Watching the sun peak up over the foggy hills was a life-giving experience. We arrived at the falls, had to scurry off a few iPhone tourists with tripods (tripods for their iPhones…), so we could give Janelle and Cory a moment to see each other. It was unbelievably chilly and wet, but the wedding party fought off the cold and climbed out on the rocks and over logs - it was so much fun. I screamed OH MY GOODNESS to them at least a hundred times as Janelle’s gorgeous dress floated in the breeze in front of the falls. It was an experience to remember. After the falls we had a couple hours of downtime and Rob and I got lunch at a delicious little place in Greenville. He’s been my faithful right hand this whole wedding season and I seriously couldn’t do it without him. We arrived at the Lodge to get things rolling with details and getting ready photos, and had time to hang out with the bridal party, pick wildflowers, lay in the sun like a house cat, and hike on the trail that overlooks Table Rock. It was seriously an ideal wedding day in every way. If you have the time and space in your wedding day, make room to RELAX and hang out with the people you love. Janelle and Cory did such a great job at making the day everything they wanted it to be - they even ordered pizza for their reception because WHY NOT?? Also, let me just take a moment to appreciate whoever’s idea it was to have tiny bluebell ice creams…praises to you. Here’s a tiny glimpse into their lovely day. Thanks for having me along to climb rocks with you!
